We are pleased to announce that Elaine Clarke and Ann Warren recently attended the ‘The Edible Garden’ course at The Royal Horticultural Society, Hyde Hall in Chelmsford.

Elaine and Ann will work with groups to set up a simple productive garden and manage the growing space throughout the seasons at Cardfields.

Cardfields will actively involve young people to set up their Edible Garden within the grounds and watch how plants grow from a seed to crop, learn how to prepare the soil, learn how to sow and grow vegetables and make most of the product once it has been harvested.

Young people will gain knowledge and skills to inspire them to set up their own Edible Garden either at home or school.
