Redbridge Music School play at Cardfields

Children holding string instruments outside house

Redbridge Music School once again returned to Cardfields for a fantastic trip giving the Junior String Orchestra the opportunity to rehearse their instruments within a beautiful, exclusive and quiet setting whilst having the opportunity to enjoy the Essex countryside and bond as a group.

Nick Calver, Violin Teacher quoted:  ‘This has been our 25th year coming to Cardfields, with the Junior String Orchestra from the Redbridge Music School. During our weekend we rehearse our pupils, who are aged 9 – 14 and have fun playing rounders or football. A big favourite is the Easter egg hunt. There is a rehearsal room big enough for 40 string players and the house and grounds are set in rural Essex overlooking the idyllic Chelmer valley. This is a fantastic centre where the staff are always willing to help and go the extra mile to make the course successful. Our pupils learn to play better as an ensemble and form friendships which we have seen last into adulthood. Thanks again Cardfields for a most enjoyable weekend.’
